?

Disney is known for its rides and attractions. But Disney is also known for something else-food. Teens are picky eaters, and have totally different taste buds than adults. After all, we are not food critics.? Here are restaurants that please a teen because sometimes it?s just about having fun and not your taste buds.

?

Magic Kingdom ? The Crystal Palace
ONE character meal during your Disney vacation is an absolute must. It seems like when you meet the characters that you love it completes any Walt Disney World vacation. My favorite character experience happens to be located at the end of Main Street, USA. The Crystal Palace is home to Winnie The Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and Eeyore-childhood favorites. The characters spend lots of time visiting each table.? Don?t be surprised if you end up in an impromptu parade!!? Not to mention, the building itself is beautiful. The whole building is an egg-whitish-yellow on the inside (which always makes me scared to spill something and stain the carpet!) with a huge topiary in the middle that seems to light up the room with color. And of course, who could forget about the food! The restaurant is buffet-style with favorites for both kids and adults (with Disney?s sugar cookies-mmm)! Whatever you do, do not let your dad tell Piglet that his favorite food is BACON!!

EPCOT ? Coral Reef
Most people would probably guess that my favorite restaurant in Epcot would be Garden Grill with its rotating tables and roaming Mickey or one of the really fantastic eateries in the World Showcase, but no. (The Garden Grill is actually my second favorite.) ?My favorite restaurant in EPCOT is the Coral Reef. I believe that the decor isn?t over the top or understated. It makes you feel like you are under the sea. My favorite part is the decor is the huge fish tank that takes up a full wall! You can watch the huge fish swim by or count the number of times that the sea turtle swims past.? If you?re really lucky, you?ll get to watch one of the Disney scuba divers lure the fish right up to the front of the glass while taunting them with food.? The seafood is great, and, in my opinion, the salads are even better!

Animal Kingdom ? Restaurantosaurus
Although Tusker House has a huge variety of amazing food, when going to Walt Disney World Resort, or any vacation, you always need that one restaurant that sells burgers and fries. It is a tradition in my family that at least once during our trip, we indulge in this very simple meal. Animal Kingdom?s Restaurantosaurus is the perfect place in Animal Kingdom to get this meal. In addition to big, juicy burgers and greasy (in a fantastic way) fries, the story at Restaurantosaurus is great! As the tale goes, you are at a campsite of student paleontologists.? There are notes on the walls and different ?rooms? for living quarters, fossils, camping supplies, etc. ?When you go to this restaurant be sureto look through all of the rooms for examples of irony and corny jokes. Don?t forget to take a list of hidden Mickeys and secrets to look for while and after you dine.? You?ll spend more time here than you think!!

Hollywood Studios ? 50s Primetime Cafe
When in Hollywood Studios, make sure you check out 50s Prime Time Caf?.? You?ll find great, homey foods like fried chicken, pot roast and meatloaf. But the atmosphere is really what bumps it past the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater to make it my favorite HS restaurant. Your waiter/waitress stays in character for their entire shift, which is amazing.? They act as your mom, dad, sisters or brothers and serve you in a ?kitchen? right out of old television shows. A ?cousin? comes around with a camera taking family photos and they whip out photo albums for you to look at. ?They scold you for not eating your greens, and punish you for doing something bad! When we ate there in August, the table next to us had the best waiter I have ever seen. One of the ladies was on her cell phone when the waiter came over to take her order. He decided it would be a great idea if he took the phone out of her hand, screamed ?BYE!? at whoever she was talking to, and put the phone in his pocket. To make this ?show? even better, he made her go to the corner of the room and EVERYBODY in the room had to call her a pottymouth! This truly made my experience memorable. If you?re on the fence about being scolded, I have to say that I never saw them ?yelling? at kids ?. only the adults. Where else can you have a good meal and laugh while your parents are told they can?t have dessert unless they clean their plate? ?Feel free to share your Prime Time Dine experiences in the comments.

Resort ? Whispering Canyon Cafe
I know what you are thinking. ?It?s going to the California Grill.? Nope. We aren?t food critics, you know! We?re kids and sometimes kids just want to have fun. My favorite restaurant at ANY of the resorts is *drum roll please* The Whispering Canyon Cafe! I love the food here, and how the whole entire experience takes you to Western civilization. I think I may have left there saying ?yawl?. Random things are scheduled, like the Hokey-Pokey and horseback-riding (on fake horses). My favorite part though has to be the ketchup. If you decide to eat here, ask for ketchup, and you are GUARANTEED to get it! Here is a picture of me with my ketchup fort.? Just a warning, this restaurant is LOUD!!? If you?re trying to have a peaceful meal to discuss world events, this is not the place!!!

?

If you haven?t eaten at these restaurants before, I recommend it! While they may not be a food connoisseur?s choice, each one is great in its own way and it?s definitely worth eating at every one of them!

Congratulations to Carrie who got the previous ?Where is The World? picture correct!? It was a plant in the wall mural in the Garden Grill. (This plant also contains one of the hardest hidden Mickeys to find in my opinion.)

Just wanted to send a quick shout out to Christy, who both thought up the idea of the WDW Radio 5th anniversary show and organized it. The show supplied me (and my family) with many laughs and fun on a snowy Saturday morning. Especially with Tony singing ?A Whole New World? (I?m still waiting for you to sing again, Caggiano.) Love you, Christy!

?

See ya REAL soon!
